ENGINE |
Multi
cylinder, 4 Stroke, direct injection, compression
ignition, continuously rated, water cooled
industrial diesel engine. Arranged for electric
start and stop. Build to comply with BS5514 and
capable of sustaining a 10% overload for one hour in
a 12 hour running period. Complete with cooling fan
drive, lubricating oil filters, air cleaners,
starter motor, battery charging dynamo and
regulator, fuel control solenoid, fuel lift pump,
engine speed adjustment. The engine will be fitted
with a heavy dynamically balanced flywheel suitable
for constant speed operation. An efficient approved
engine speed governor is fitted to maintain engine
speed at all conditions of load. |

ENGINE
PROTECTION |
Sensor
switches are fitted to initiate automatic shutdown
of low oil pressure or high coolant temperature. |

COOLING
SYSTEM |
The
engine will be complete with tropical capacity
radiator or heat exchange for cooling in tropical
ambient temperatures. |

FILTRATION
SYSTEM |
The
engine will be fitted with dry type heavy duty air
filter with replaceable elements with spin on fuel
and lubricating filters. |

STARTING
SYSTEM |
The
engine will be electric start complete with starter
motor, heavy duty lead acid batteries, battery racks
and interconnecting cables. |

BATTERY
CHARGING SYSTEMS |
The
engine will be completed with battery charging
alternator unit complete with Voltage regulator. |

EXHAUST
SILENCER SYSTEM |
The
genset will be supplied with industrial capacity
exhaust silencer. |
|
ALTERNATOR |
Brushless,
self regulating, self exciting type, screen
protected and drip proof enclosure meeting the
requirements of BS4999 part 20. Single bearing
construction with drive from engine via flexi disc
coupling bolted directly to the engine flywheel.
Winding insulation class H. Voltage regulation is
maintained to within the limit of +/-1% at any fixed
load (no load to full load). |

COUPLING
ARRANGEMENT |
The
engine and alternator will be directly coupled by
means of a SAE flange so that there is no
possibility of mis alignment being found after
prolonged use. A flexible disc is used in all cases
and the disc is completely guarded for safety
purpose. |

MOUNTING
ARRANGEMENT |
The
engine and alternator will be mounted as a whole on
a heavy duty fabricated steel base frame constructed
from channel sections. Crane lifting arrangement is
included. |

LOAD
TEST |
The
Generator will be load tested in the test bay before
dispatch. All system will be thoroughly checked for
correct operation. |
